I first discovered graphic design in my high school multimedia class. I had been illustrating all my life, but suddenly I was given unfamiliar restrictions. Branding guides and their pre-determined colors, fonts, and visual styles gave me a set of rules – and to my surprise, I absolutely loved it. I saw it as a type of puzzle... how could I be as creative and innovative as possible while still reflecting an existing brand? If creating a brand, how could I tie everything together to be visually appealing while still conveying my message?

In a work environment, I believe teamwork is the best key to success. Whether designing or interacting with coworkers or clients, giving and receiving clear expectations and constructive feedback leads to a better experience for everyone.

Overall, I never want to stop learning and improving my design work, and I am confident that jumping into new, exciting, and unfamiliar work environments is the best way to do so. I believe I have a lot to share with companies and clients, and I have a great deal to learn from them as well.

Outside of work, you can find me playing video games, hiking throughout Washington, and collecting vintage clothing and postcards.
